You can fill out a release of liability form in most states. This can be sent to your nearby DMV office. Filling out this form documents that you have sold your car and will not be liable for tickets it receives or accidents it is involved in. We will buy your junk car without the registration form. But the title is another matter. That document is what will enable us to pay you top dollar. Even if you cannot find the title you can still sell your vehicle but we just want you to know that you will not get paid as much. So if you can get a copy of the title it is going to increase your payment. Without the title we may have to use some other strategies but we will do whatever we can to buy your vehicle. However the registration is not nearly as much of an issue for you to hold back selling your junk car.

The answer on whether you should sell or donate your car is entirely up to you. Keep in mind though that donating a car will be tricky, mainly because you need to verify if the charity you have chosen to donate your car to is a 503(c) organization. Also, when you file your taxes you will need to itemize the deductions. Perhaps the best thing you can do is sell the car first to us, and then whatever money you earn you can donate it to the charity to make it easier for you.
